Paved pathways, beach boardwalks and accessible amenities at several local beaches and parks make them enjoyable for everyone.
BEACH WHEELCHAIRS
For mobility on the sand, beach wheelchairs can be obtained at Sarasota County beaches with a lifeguard tower. These include Venice, Nokomis, Manasota and Lido beaches. They are free of charge daily from 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. At Siesta Beach, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., beach wheelchairs are available at the beach concessionaire. For wheelchair needs outside of those hours of operation, contact the Sarasota County ADA Coordinator three days before your visit to make your request at 941-861-5000 or email adacoordinator@scgov.net.
