Thank you, UNWLA Post 56, for joining Venice MainStreet as a Nonprofit Partner! This Ukrainian American women’s organization is part of the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America. Established in 1925, the UNWLA is the longest-running and largest Ukrainian women’s organization in the US. Its mission is to promote and develop educational and cultural efforts and provide humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians worldwide. The local branch for the Osprey/Venice/North Port area is #56.
To learn more about Ukrainian holiday customs and traditions, be sure not to miss the Ukrainian Christmas Festival on December 2, 2023 in Centennial Park at the gazebo from 12pm-5pm. Choral and instrumental performances will be from 1pm-3pm. Enjoy Ukrainian folk art such as embroidery, wood carving, ceramics, pottery, and Christmas ornaments. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets!
