The Venice-Nokomis Woman’s Club is one of the oldest non-profit civic organizations in the City of Venice today. The Club was formed in 1926 by Mrs. Louella Albee, wife of world renowned Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Fred Albee. The Club continues to carry on the legacy of its founders by donating thousands of dollars each year to local charities and nonprofit organizations, by awarding scholarships to Venice High School students and by participating in community events.
MISSION STATEMENT The objects and aims of the VNWC Corporation are to – Promote civic welfare through fundraising activities – Provide grants and awards annually to community organizations – Provide college scholarship opportunities for high school students – Share intellectual and cultural programs with the members
