  • Venice Area Historical Society

    The Venice Area Historical Society (VAHS) was founded in 1991 as the Venice Historic Preservation League, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  The mission of the Venice Area Historical Society is to promote public awareness and understanding of the historic heritage of Florida, Sarasota County, and the Venice area, within the context of our nation's history, and to encourage inquiry and research into this history. VAHS sponsors a wide variety of educational programs and initiatives-a lecture series, a newsletter, outreach to schools and other local organizations, tours of the Historic Venice Train Depot, a historic plaque program, scholarships for graduating high school seniors, and research into area history.

  • Venice Area Orchid Society

    The Venice Area Orchid Society is an affiliate of the American Orchid Society. Our club was founded to foster and preserve orchid growing, to provide a forum for orchid exhibition, and to share the knowledge and experience of growers and hobbyists. Begun in 1962, the VAOS has grown into one of the largest and most active orchid societies in Florida. Our annual Orchid Show & Sale, held the first weekend of February every year, draws 4000 visitors.

  • Venice Area Quilters’ Guild

    Venice Area Quilters' Guild (VAQG) serves quilters of all skill levels from beginner to professional, with interests as varied as our experience levels. We promote the love of quilts, encourage and preserve the art of quilts and quilting, and share friendship and knowledge with others. VAQG offers monthly classes, informal workshops, and a Quilt Escape in February 2019.  VAQG offers monthly classes, informal workshops, and a Quilt Escape in February 2019. The Guild meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month, September through April, at 7:00 PM in the Venice Community Center, 326 Nokomis Avenue,Venice, FL.   • Venice Aviation Society, Inc. (VASI)

    VASI is the voice of Venice General Aviation. VASI is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting both general aviation and community interests in our airport. From Angel Flights, to Agape Flights, Flight Training, Business and Leisure Travel, the VASI goal is to promote safe, sustainable General Aviation at the Venice Airport.

  • Venice Heritage Inc.

    Venice Heritage Inc. (VHI) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the Venice, Florida area’s rich cultural heritage, including the surrounding communities of Osprey, Laurel, and Nokomis.

  • Venice Interfaith Community Association

    Founded in 2004, the Venice Interfaith Community Association was born from the observation that our community was expanding, not only in size, but in diversity.
