Simply put, Grace United Methodist Church exists to bring the awesome life and grace of Christ to a lost and broken world through outreach in our own community and abroad. The Church, established in 1961, continues to be a Venice Island landmark symbolizing a place where people can find God's grace, hope, and love. As part of the United Methodist Church, we profess the historic Christian faith. We currently provide two Sunday morning worship experiences, a Contemporary Service at 9am and a Traditional Service at 11am. Come see for yourself what makes Grace on the Island so special.
Together with our donors, we transform our region through bold and proactive philanthropy. Our foundation was created in 1995 with proceeds from the sale of The Venice Hospital, a community hospital that had been founded by local citizens more than four decades earlier. Today, we have become the philanthropic home of more than 750 families who have created their own charitable funds at Gulf Coast, and together we have invested over $270 million in grants in the areas of health and human services, civic and economic development, education, arts and culture, and the environment.
