Thank you, City of Venice Public Works Department, for a fantastic makeover of the information kiosk at Centennial Park! City Carpenter, Chris Bruns, with the assistance of the City Sign Technician, Jess Korte, completed the painting this week and it looks great. The total project included the addition of stucco fiber cement vertical siding around the entire base of the kiosk; installation of a new public access window facing W. Venice Ave.; and priming, painting and caulking of the entire structure.
This City-owned structure is managed in partnership with Venice MainStreet, which staffs the kiosk with volunteers during the peak season to help visitors to downtown. MainStreet also hangs the fliers in the windows to help promote local event venues, businesses and nonprofits share their information.
