Annual Downtown Venice Art Fest Official Poster Design Contest

Venice MainStreet, Inc. is holding a contest for its Annual Downtown Venice Art Festival official poster design. Two awards will be given:
Poster award #1 (adult): The artist selected by the Design Committee will be awarded $500 for his/her design and a booth at the future festival ($500 value, for a prize package worth $1,000). The winning design will be featured as the official poster, which will be showcased on merchandise and in advertising.
Poster award #2 (student): A student artwork from K-12 will be selected by the Design
Committee and awarded $250. The winning design will be featured as a secondary poster and may be showcased on merchandise and in advertising.
Guidelines:
• Original (unframed) artwork must be delivered to Island Bookshop at 206 Miami Avenue West, Venice, FL (call ahead 941-416-5511); deliver on or before October 5, 2026.
• The winner must also submit a high-resolution editable, working digital file (for poster and merchandise production).
• Finished printed poster size will be 22” x 28” (your original does not need to be the same size).
• Image must be the theme of “A Day or Night in Venice”; please no explicit or graphic imagery. (Copy that will be incorporated into the poster/merchandise will include “Annual Downtown Venice Art Festival”).
• Winners must be available for an unveiling event at Island Bookshop on the evening of Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

Winning posters will be available for sale on Saturday, October 31, 2026 and Sunday, November 1, 2026
